馃槏Authentic Filipino Style Brunch in SF beyond my expectations

馃Abaca 馃搷2700 Jones St, San Francisco, CA 94133 路 鈻笍We found another amazing brunch spot! The Filipino style food is truly comforting for Asian taste buds. The restaurant is located on the first floor of a hotel and the overall style is absolutely loveable! As soon as you enter, you're greeted with abundant natural light coming from above, creating a cozy dining experience! 路 鈻笍During brunch hours, the crowd is manageable. We went on a weekend and it wasn't too crowded, so no need to wait for seating (we had made a reservation in advance, but walk-ins seemed possible). They also have a bar and bakery, making the menu quite extensive. 路 馃Tikoy Pandan waffle It has mochi inside, which makes it soft and delicious as a dessert! 路 馃Wagyu Tapsilog It has a Korean taste to it, and although it looks small, it's actually quite filling! The combination of meat and scrambled eggs, with a crispy touch, is incredibly satisfying! 路 馃ォTochino Silog The grilled pork belly is amazingly flavorful and substantial. The portion is really generous. I actually quite like their rice, it somehow complements their dishes perfectly. 路 鈻笍Their dishes may not look huge in terms of portion, but they are solid and satisfying. Surprisingly, we couldn't finish our plates 馃槀 It exceeded my expectations! I thought we could even order one more dessert, but apparently, I was being too ambitious 馃槀 #BayAreaFood #BayAreaLiving #WhereToGoInBayArea #HiddenGemsRestaurant #Brunch #WeekendPlans #DateNightSpot #WeekendFoodHunting #InstagrammableBrunchSpots #FoodExploration

South Bay Cuisine | Amazing Sauce Ribs + Axe-sized Steak鈥硷笍

馃ォLa Barrique 馃墤锔廏rilled sauce ribs are amazing!馃搷969 Story Rd Suite 6090, San Jose, CA 95122 Remember the popular eel rice we recommended from the Vietnamese restaurant before? This time, we came to try their dinner. It is recommended to sit outside, not only for good lighting but also because the weather is moderate. Even if it's slightly chilly, you can turn on the heater for warmth, which adds to the style. 馃嵏Cocktails This is a restaurant with a full bar, and the drinks are really good. Just a little tipsy. Lychee cocktail / Honeydew cocktail / Mango margarita / Witch vodka cocktail / Bloody Mary 馃Caesar Salad with Parma Ham Slices The whole lettuce head is in the middle, drizzled with Caesar dressing, rich and fragrant. The slightly dry texture of the Parma ham slices complements the moisture of the lettuce. 馃悮Clam Seafood The clam stew produces a fresh and concentrated white soup, authentic and delicious. The soup is perfect for dipping bread. 馃Italian Seafood Bouillabaisse The red soup base is richer, with more seafood inside, from lobster to clams to mussels to squid rings, and more. The ingredients are abundant and extremely fresh. 馃Duck Breast and Duck Leg Combo Roasted duck breast meat and preserved duck leg, served with grilled vegetables, highly recommended! The tenderness of the duck breast meat and the softness of the duck leg meat, combining the two flavors together, is a meat lover's paradise. 馃崠Grilled Carbonized Beef Short Ribs Highly recommended! Super recommended! It has a Korean BBQ flavor, the sauce is plentiful, and the taste is rich and flavorful. Grilled with bones, full of meat fragrance. The grilled vegetables below are also coated with sauce, refreshing and can help with greasiness. 馃悓French Herb Baked Snails Rich in oil! But it doesn't feel overly greasy when eaten, the snail meat is tender and soft, and has a fragrant and chewy texture. 馃ォ42oz Roasted Fire Axe Steak An axe-sized steak larger than the face! Not to mention finishing it all, it's shocking just to cut it 馃槀 The axe steak comes with bones and tendons, and the meat has a rich texture. The accompanying dish is baked potato slices. 馃崫Fresh Shrimp Pesto Pasta Large shrimp spread on top of pesto pasta, the pasta has a chewy texture, and the pesto is rich. Each strand of pasta is evenly coated, and the shrimp is soft and tender. 馃嵁French Caramel Pudding Topped with a layer of crushed ice coffee, it's the first time I've had this combination. The flan has a soft and tender texture, a dense milky fragrance, and a rich caramel flavor. I also really like making this dessert at home馃憤 #BayAreaFood #BayAreaLife #WhereToGoInBayAreaOnWeekends #WeekendFoodHunting
