Right in the middle of the trail, someone drew a strange circle on the ground, and along the way there are little stacks of rocks carefully placed, almost like markers. The whole setup gives off a really witchy, ritualistic vibe—like I’ve accidentally walked into the opening scene of a horror movie. I was with two friends, driving a U-Haul and towing my car, when we spotted this place off the highway—pretty sure it was visible from I-80.
