My favorite toy during my childhood was a Halloween decoration that looked like a rat. I named him Ratty, and he was my constant companion. He wasn't soft or cute, but to me, he was perfect. I've had to tape his tail back on a few times over the years, but I still love him just as much as I did back then. At one point, my mom's coworker had a little business painting portraits of children's toys.
