The View Was Perfect. I Still Felt Out of Place.

Woke up in Zermatt, opened the curtains, and the Matterhorn was just there—unfiltered, sharp, almost unreal. I took a photo and didn’t touch a thing. It’s probably the best shot I’ve ever gotten, but the moment felt off. Maybe it was the exhaustion from three trains and a night of bad sleep, or maybe it was knowing I’d leave before I could settle in. People talk about the journey being worth it. Sometimes it is.
