Traci Keller+FollowShould Drivers Have to Report Hitting Cats?Did you know UK drivers legally have to report hitting dogs, but not cats? A massive petition is calling for that to change after heartbreaking stories like Kellie Watson’s, whose kitten Martha was left to die after being hit. Animal lovers and charities say it’s time cats got the same protection as dogs—after all, they’re family too! Michael Salazar+Followwhy do people get pets if they can’t afford them? 🤯I’ve had enough of seeing posts about people asking for advice on what to do with their sick birds because they “can’t afford a vet.” It breaks my heart, especially when you can clearly tell they shouldn’t have gotten the pet in the first place.Let me make this clear: If you got a pet when you were financially stable, and something unexpected happened, I’m not talking about you. But when you get a pet, especially something like a bird or a cat, and can’t provide basic care, it’s honestly mind-boggling.I’m a bird owner myself. A few months ago, I thought one of my parrots had pneumonia and rushed him to the vet THREE times. Thankfully, he was fine. But I can’t stand seeing pet owners who seem oblivious to the responsibility of caring for a pet long-term—especially when they’re not in a place to give it the proper care.Pets need our commitment, not just the fun parts. 🐦💔#PetResponsibility #BirdCare #AnimalWelfare #Pets172128Share
paulcarol+FollowHad to euthanize an injured deer - feels awful 😔Found a deer with broken legs stuck in my pond, clearly hit by a car with severe infections. Game warden told me to put her out of her misery. Did the right thing but feels terrible shooting out of season, even though it was mercy. Anyone else been in this situation? #hunting #wildliferescue #toughchoices #animalwelfare6537Share
