“Dune blew my mind. I mean... what just happened?”
I put off reading Dune for years. Everyone kept saying it was a masterpiece, a must-read, "the Star Wars before Star Wars."
But the first 50 pages? I was drowning in names, houses, planets, spice, Bene Gesserit what-now??
And then suddenly — everything clicked.
Frank Herbert wasn’t just building a world. He was building religion. Politics. Ecology.
He made me question power, destiny, and how we treat resources we don’t understand.
He made me root for Paul, then doubt him, then fear what he might become.
It’s not just space opera — it’s prophecy, prophecy with consequences.
📖 I closed the book and sat in silence. Not just because it was over — but because I felt changed.
There’s “reading a sci-fi novel,” and then there’s being swallowed by one.
💬 Did Dune break your brain too? Or are you still recovering from book one?
