Should I Stay at My New Office Job or Run?

So, I landed my first real 9-to-5 at a big company in Chicago, thanks to a family friend. At first, I was just grateful to have a foot in the door, but now I'm starting to wonder if I should be running for the exit instead. My paycheck is always late—like, every single month. Since I started, the entire Marketing team was fired and then rehired, and I’ve watched 16 people quit—including the HR manager who hired me! My coworker even joked he doesn’t bother learning new names because nobody sticks around. It’s honestly a revolving door here, and I can’t figure out why everyone’s leaving so fast. The work is okay, and my team is friendly, but the constant turnover is making me anxious. Should I just tough it out, or is this a sign to start looking elsewhere? 🤔💼 #CareerDecisions #WorkplaceCulture #JobHunting #JobCareer

Torn Between Maxing My 401k or Saving for a Home—Help! 😩🏠

Hey everyone, I’m 26, single, and working in a pretty demanding office job in Chicago. Lately, I’ve been losing sleep over a big financial decision: should I max out my retirement accounts and keep renting, or just contribute up to my 401k match, max my Roth IRA, and start saving for a hefty down payment on a house? Work has been stressful enough with office politics and trying to prove myself for a promotion. Now, I’m worried that if I focus too much on retirement, I’ll miss out on buying a home while prices are still (somewhat) reasonable. But if I save for a house, am I sacrificing my future security? Older folks at work keep giving me conflicting advice, and I’m honestly feeling stuck. If you were in my shoes at 26, what would you do? I’d love to hear your thoughts! 🙏💬 #JobCareer #Career #CareerDecisions
