how do you handle sleep before an early flight?

Flying out of Austin at 7am this Friday, and I’m already stressing about how I’ll manage to get any sleep the night before. I’ve only flown once before, and never internationally, so I’m trying to play it extra safe—planning to get to the airport by 4am, which means I’ll need to be up by 3am at the latest. The kicker? I land in Nassau around 2pm and have meetings lined up right after I get to the resort. Honestly, I’m torn. Should I try to go to bed at 8pm and hope I can actually fall asleep (even though I know I’ll probably just toss and turn, thinking about what I might forget)? Or maybe I should try to nap a couple times during the day tomorrow, just to bank some rest? Part of me wonders if I should just pull an all-nighter and sleep on the plane, but I’m not sure I’ll be able to doze off with all the airport noise and excitement. Has anyone figured out a way to actually feel human after these crazy early flights? I feel like every time I try to plan ahead, something throws me off—either I’m too anxious to sleep, or I end up napping at the wrong time and feel groggy for days.
