Tearjerker Kids Books, Anyone?

Every damn time I read The Giving Tree, I can't help but bawl my eyes out. Like, even when I'm bracing myself and thinking, 'Okay, this time I'll be cool,' it hits me right in the feels. That tree just gives and gives, and the boy... ugh, that boy, man, he takes it all until there's literally nothing left. It’s heartbreaking but so beautiful in its own messed-up way.
