why did my backyard explode with jasmine blooms this spring?

Last spring, I planted a few jasmine cuttings in the corner of my yard, just hoping for a little fragrance. Fast forward to this year, and my backyard looks like a floral wonderland. I never expected these tiny plants to take off like this! I kept the soil loose and made sure they got plenty of sunlight, but not too much water.
