We are born. We will die. Everything in between is uncertain. That truth can either humble us or harden us. Lately, I notice how easily people forget it. We argue online like time is unlimited. We fire off comments as if words disappear. They do not. They land somewhere. On someone. Meaning is not handed to us. We build it. Existential thinkers remind us that life does not come with instructions. Viktor Frankl wrote that our deepest drive is to find meaning, even in suffering. Positive psychology agrees. Purpose grows when our actions align with our values, not when strangers approve of us. Here is the uncomfortable part. If meaning is something we construct, then every interaction matters. Every word is material. We are either building something solid or quietly tearing something down. Today, it takes seconds to hurt someone. A sarcastic reply. A dismissive tone. A public comment meant to embarrass. The speed of modern communication amplifies impulse. Reaction replaces reflection. And yet the damage is real. Anxiety, isolation, shame. These are not abstract ideas. They are lived experiences triggered by ordinary cruelty. We talk about purpose in big terms. Legacy. Career. Impact. But maybe purpose also lives in restraint. In choosing not to humiliate. In pausing before pressing send. In asking whether our attitude reflects who we claim to be. A flourishing life is built on virtue and self awareness. In a culture that rewards outrage, discipline is radical. Flourishing is not dominance. It is choosing integrity when ego wants applause. Between birth and death, we are all improvising. None of us fully know what comes next. That alone should make us gentler. If life is uncertain, kindness is not weakness. It is legacy. #Life
