how do you actually get comfy on a long flight?
I finally booked my first trip overseas, and honestly, I’m both excited and a little nervous. The idea of sitting in one spot for 10 hours straight is already making my back ache. Last time I flew just three hours, my knees were begging for mercy and my neck felt like I’d slept on a pile of rocks. Now I’m wondering, is there some secret to surviving these marathon flights without feeling like a pretzel?
I’ve seen people bring neck pillows and those weird inflatable footrests, but do they really help, or are they just another thing to lug around? And what about food—do you trust the airplane meals, or should I pack my own snacks? I’m also worried about getting any sleep at all with all the noise and cramped seats.
I know some folks swear by compression socks or walking the aisles, but I can’t help but picture myself tripping over someone’s feet or getting glared at by the flight attendants. Is it really possible to get comfortable up there, or is everyone just pretending? I’d love to hear what actually works, especially for those of us who aren’t exactly spring chickens anymore. I’m hoping to arrive at my destination without feeling like I need a week to recover!
