why does everyone hate overpacking when it actually helps?

Everyone’s always yelling “pack light!” but I don’t get it. I’d rather bring that extra hoodie or backup outfit just in case than freeze or feel gross wearing the same thing for days. Overpacking gives me options—especially when the weather flips or plans change. People act like underpacking makes you a pro traveler… but what’s the point if you’re uncomfortable the whole trip?
