This $15 spray saved my hiking season
If you’re hiking this summer, do yourself a favor and treat your clothes with Permethrin spray.
I’ve been using it for years on my shirts, socks, gaiters—pretty much anything I wear in the woods. It’s the same stuff used in those “insect-repellent” clothes brands sell, but way cheaper if you DIY. Spray it on in a well-ventilated area (garage works great), let it dry, and it lasts for 6 washes. Honestly, I barely get any mosquito or tick bites anymore, even in Vermont and New Hampshire.
Read the directions, spray the cuffs well, and don’t forget your hat. Way better than risking Lyme.
