should i pick a hotel or cabin for my cats?
Every summer, I pack up my car with snacks, sunscreen, and—of course—my two cats, who have been my travel buddies since they were tiny furballs. Now that they’re a year old, they’re pretty used to road trips, but I’m planning our first real ocean getaway this June, and I’m torn about where to stay.
Hotels are usually my go-to: they’re cheaper, breakfast is included (and honestly, I love not having to cook first thing in the morning), and someone else handles the cleaning. But the thought of spending a week staring at a parking lot from a cramped room doesn’t exactly scream “relaxing beach vacation.” Plus, most hotels don’t even have balconies, and I’d love to sip my coffee with a sea breeze while the cats watch the waves from a safe spot.
On the other hand, a private cabin sounds perfect—more space for the cats to explore, a better view, and actual peace and quiet. But cabins cost more, and I worry about what happens if something breaks or if there’s a problem with the place. Also, will my cats freak out in a bigger, unfamiliar space? I’m not sure if I’m overthinking it, but it feels like every option has a catch. Has anyone else faced this dilemma?
