Stacking up a bunch of old buckets in my backyard felt like a weird science experiment, but I was desperate to grow potatoes without digging up my whole lawn. I poked holes in the sides, tossed in some soil, and dropped in my seed potatoes. Every time the plants peeked out, I added more dirt. It was wild watching them climb higher and higher.
