finding sneakers that actually fit for long walks

We’re planning this big overseas trip next year—two weeks of exploring, which means a ton of walking. I’ve been hunting for sneakers that won’t leave my feet aching by lunchtime. The reviews online keep mentioning Hoka Clifton 9 and Brooks Ghost 16, but honestly, it’s overwhelming when you’re not a sneaker expert. Here’s my real struggle: my feet are super narrow. Even if I get the right length, most shoes just feel loose on the sides, like my feet are swimming in them. And I tend to walk more on the balls of my feet (metatarsals, as Google tells me), so that part gets sore way before my heels do. I’ve tried tightening the laces, but then the top of my foot gets squished and uncomfortable. Has anyone with narrow feet actually found a pair that doesn’t flop around? Or maybe there’s a brand that’s better for people who put more pressure on the front of their feet? I feel like shoe shopping is always a gamble—either they’re too loose, or they pinch somewhere weird. I just want to enjoy the trip without thinking about my feet every step of the way. If you’ve been through this, what finally worked for you? #sneakeradvice #travelprep #narrowfeet #Travel
