We Accidentally Adopted a Feral Roommate
So, plot twist: our house now has a tiny, uninvited guest. Last night, we heard frantic meowing from under the floorboards (cue horror movie soundtrack). Turns out, a stray kitten decided our place was the new hot spot.
Cue us, crawling around with flashlights and tuna cans, trying to coax out a terrified furball. After an hour of negotiations (mostly one-sided), she finally emerged—dirty, shaking, and somehow still judging us.
Now she’s camped out in our laundry basket, refusing to make eye contact but absolutely demolishing her food. We’re not sure if we rescued her or if she’s plotting to take over the house. Either way, we’re in too deep.
Anyone else ever get adopted by a stray? Tips for convincing her we’re cool humans appreciated.
