did i accidentally summon a gothic sunflower in my backyard?

I swear I planted seeds for classic red sunflowers, but today I came home and found this dramatic black bloom staring right at me. Total plot twist! I guess that’s what makes gardening so wild—you never really know what you’ll get. I always label my seeds, but sometimes the universe has other plans. Watching this mysterious flower grow was a daily surprise. I kept the soil moist and made sure it got lots of sun. Turns out, patience and a little curiosity go a long way. Now, I’m obsessed with checking on my plants every day, just to see what new surprises pop up. If you’re new to gardening, don’t stress about perfection.
