which credit card gets me more aa miles?

Last week, I spent ages comparing my two credit cards—the AAdvantage Silver World Elite and the Citi Strata Premier—while waiting at the airport. I always fly American Airlines (I even have Gold status, so I get those nice perks like free checked bags and early boarding), but I’m tired of juggling cards. I just want to use one for everything and rack up as many miles as possible. Here’s the catch: The AAdvantage card obviously gives me miles directly with AA, but the Citi Strata Premier has all these bonus categories, and I keep wondering if I’m missing out on more points by not using it for groceries or gas. It’s so confusing! Plus, sometimes the Citi points seem harder to use for flights, and I’m not sure if I’m actually getting a better deal. Has anyone else run into this? I want to stick with American, but I don’t want to leave points on the table either. It feels like these credit card companies make it complicated on purpose just so we can’t figure out what’s best.
