Everyone here loves carpet. Builders tried to convince me—noise reduction, safety, blah blah. But nope, I stood my ground. Vinyl floors everywhere. No dust traps in my house! They quoted me $30K (lol), but after some serious negotiating (yes, builders can budge on price), I got it done for just over $10K. Pro tip: always negotiate and check outside contractors.
