Just found out that even those so-called “cold” tumors (the ones that usually dodge the immune system) can actually be zapped by immunotherapy! UCSF researchers figured out that blocking a signal called TGF-Beta basically opens the door for immune cells to attack, even if the tumor looks uninviting. This could mean way more people are eligible for these life-saving treatments.
