Is this normal? Period poop pain

Okay so... does anyone else feel like they're literally dying when trying to have a bowel movement during their period? 😩 I'm so confused because the pain is INTENSE and I can't tell if it's just me? My doctor just brushed it off but I swear it feels like my insides are being crushed.
