Mom’s Words Still Sting: Body Image Struggles

Being called obese by my own mother hit harder than I expected. It’s like, no matter how much I try to accept my menopausal body, her words echo in my head. Some days, I feel okay in my skin. Other days, her voice drowns out my progress. Why do the people closest to us know exactly where to poke? I wish she understood how much it hurts, and how hard I’m already trying. This journey is tough enough without the extra weight of her criticism. Trying to remind myself: my worth isn’t tied to a number or someone else’s opinion. #BodyPositivity #MenopauseJourney #FamilyStruggles #Health #MentalHealth
