is it fair for my girlfriend to want to split everything 50/50 when i earn 7x more?

I could really use some advice. My girlfriend and I have been together for a while and things are mostly great. But now she wants us to start sharing all our expenses equally. The thing is, I make about seven times more than she does. I get where she’s coming from—she wants things to feel balanced and not have any weird power dynamics. But splitting everything down the middle just doesn’t seem right when our incomes are so different. I’m worried she’ll end up struggling to keep up, or that I’ll feel guilty if I cover more than my share. Has anyone else dealt with this? How do you keep things fair without making it awkward?
