Ever had your job description magically expand overnight? That’s my life right now. I’m the marketing manager at a busy downtown restaurant, hustling to launch our new summer drink menu. I’ve been buried in designs, approvals, and press releases for weeks. Everything’s set—until the night before launch, the Bar Manager drops the bomb: their team hasn’t learned the new cocktails. Suddenly, my boss is furious with me for not reminding the bar staff to train. Since when did marketing mean I’m supposed to teach bartenders how to shake a martini?
