When we booked her ticket, we used the American way of writing her name—first, middle, last—because that’s what all her U.S. documents show. But then, we looked at her Vietnamese passport, and it lists her name as middle, first, last. Now, her travel visa for Japan matches the passport’s name order, but the plane ticket doesn’t.
