worried about name order on my wife’s passport and flight ticket

So here’s what happened: my wife and I are getting ready for a big trip to Japan, flying with EVA Air. When we booked her ticket, we used the American way of writing her name—first, middle, last—because that’s what all her U.S. documents show. But then, we looked at her Vietnamese passport, and it lists her name as middle, first, last. Now, her travel visa for Japan matches the passport’s name order, but the plane ticket doesn’t. I’m starting to get nervous. We’ve heard stories about people being turned away at the airport for small mistakes, and I really don’t want that to happen to us after all this planning. Has anyone actually run into this problem before? Did you get stopped at check-in or at the gate? Should we call the airline, or is this just something they see all the time with international travelers? I’d love to hear if anyone’s been in our shoes—especially if you’ve flown out of the U.S. with a Vietnamese passport. Honestly, it feels like these name order rules are designed to trip people up. Why can’t there be a standard way to write names on tickets and passports? Anyone else find this whole thing confusing and stressful? #travelworries #passportproblems #nameorder #airlinetips #japantrip #Travel
