I never thought a plant could hit me this hard. My dad handed me this bromeliad from his backyard when he got sick. I kept it on my windowsill, watering it just enough and making sure it got some sun. I read somewhere that bromeliads like to dry out a bit between waterings, so I tried not to fuss over it too much. Eight months after losing him, I spotted a bright bloom poking out. I just stood there, staring, and the tears came out of nowhere. It felt like a little hello from him. Taking care of this plant became my way of keeping his memory alive. Sometimes, the best gardening tip is just to be patient and let things grow in their own time. You never know when something beautiful will show up. #gardeningtips #healingwithplants #bromeliad #griefjourney #Gardening
