I have been with AETNA for many years with different employers. They are the best. I suffered a Stroke July 2024, my bill came was over $210,000 for five weeks in the hospital including hospital inpatient Rehabilitation. At the end of being in the hospital, I paid $1000 and I was not denied any treatment that the Doctors requested from AETNA. I was told by the Finance Hospital Department that I owe $1000 copay for Emergency service which is standard. I was also told that I needed to pay another $1000 for Rehab impatient Service. After AETNA reviewed the Bill, I received a refund for $1000. The hospital over charged me for Rehab stay (medical service)which is included in my medical coverage. A Medical Insurance company that actually reviews hospital invoices on behalf of the Patient. I also received several calls from AETNA while I was in the hospital asking if there are any questions, issues or concerns that I may have. Thank you AETNA for being there in my time of need.
