Earth’s Oxygen Is on a Countdown

Plot twist: Earth’s oxygen isn’t forever. Scientists say billions of years from now, our atmosphere will lose almost all its oxygen—think back to the days when only microbes could survive. It’ll happen fast, too, like the opposite of the Great Oxidation Event that started life as we know it. Even if we fix climate change, this is one doomsday we can’t dodge.
