Scenic Delights: Great family beach, pretty houses/hotels, and a charming town with quirky shops—Capitola has it all! 🏡 Oceanfront Dining: The restaurants and bars along the front boast ocean views and a wide choice of menus. 🍽️ Wharf House Magic: Spent a couple of laid-back hours at the Wharf House Restaurant at the end of Capitola Wharf. Watched locals, pelicans, and seals catching fish. 🐦 This place exudes a laid-back atmosphere, perfect for soaking in the coastal vibes. Capitola is incredibly family-friendly, with surfing taking center stage in the list of available sports activities. 🏄‍♂️ Now, a word of caution for drivers—the parking situation is a bit tricky. Limited beachfront/village parking (max 3 hours, no top-ups allowed) with strict restrictions. However, there's a larger pay car park next to Britannia Arms, though it fills up fast. 🅿️ Parking Tip: For a day stay, opt for the much cheaper option about a quarter of a mile away behind the Town Hall on Capitola Avenue. Bonus: They offer a complementary shuttle bus to the beach! 🚌 If you're in the vicinity of Santa Cruz, a visit to Capitola is a must!
