Did Nintendo Fumble the Switch 2 Launch?

As much as I love the tech leap in the Switch 2, I can’t help but feel déjà vu from the PlayStation 4 launch—amazing hardware, but where’s the must-play new game? Mario Kart World is fun, but not the killer app I hoped for, and most of my playtime is spent revisiting older titles. Did Nintendo miss a golden opportunity by not launching Donkey Kong Bananza alongside?
