Honey is the one ingredient that tests my patience every single time. It doesn’t matter how careful I am, I always end up with sticky fingers, a sticky bottle, and somehow, a sticky countertop. Tonight, I’m making a simple vinaigrette—just olive oil, vinegar, a bit of mustard, and, unfortunately, honey. The trick I’ve found is to coat the spoon with a little oil before scooping the honey. It slides off easier, but the bottle still ends up a mess. Those honey spoons are a joke; I’m convinced they make things worse. I’m seriously considering switching to those single-serve honey packets just to avoid the cleanup.
