I thought leaving the US would feel like a reset. Instead, standing in Interlaken, surrounded by mountains too big to fit in a photo, I felt more out of place than ever. Everyone else seemed to know what to do with all that beauty—how to pose, how to look like they belonged. I kept fumbling with my camera, trying to capture something that would prove I was really here. But the truth is, I spent most of that first day just watching.
