Happy Hour at the Thai Place - Trying out the Cosmopolitan!

Spotted in Walnut Creek's downtown, there's a Thai place I often visit. They have a Happy Hour from 3pm-5pm, Monday to Friday. The menu choices during this hour are not extensive (see image 9), but it offers both alcohol and meat. The ambiance is serene, making it a suitable spot for catching up with friends! Plus, the prices are super cheap with cocktails for $7, wine for $6, beer for $5, and appetizers for $8! I typically don't drink, but I was curious today and asked for a sweet drink similar to a non-alcoholic beverage. The staff recommended a Cosmopolitan, translated as "Metropolitan". It includes vodka, lime, Cointreau, and cranberry juice. This cocktail got famous from the TV show "Sex and the City", as it's the lead character's favorite! This drink is best enjoyed quickly - it starts out sour-sweet and very refreshing, especially when freshly served, but the alcoholic punch gradually grows stronger! For food, I paired it with Satay (beef skewers), Lady Finger (fried veggie rolls), Ginger Eggplant, and Panang Curry. Including tax, my total damage was $65.
