Lately, I can't help but wonder—did Corporate America always feel this cold? When my dad started out, he joined a company right out of college, got trained, and actually retired from the same place. Now, I’m told I need three years of experience just to get an entry-level job, and the pay barely covers rent. Job hopping seems like the only way to move up, but I miss the idea of loyalty and growth in one place. Benefits like healthcare are getting slashed, and nobody wants to invest in training anymore. Am I the only one feeling lost and frustrated by this shift? Is there any hope things might change, or is this just the new normal?
