Ten hours up Mount Rundle and my legs were shaking before I even sat down. We ate sandwiches above the treeline, surrounded by nothing but wind and rock. The view was supposed to make it all worth it, but honestly, I just felt small and tired and a little embarrassed by how much I wanted to be back at the trailhead. Nobody tells you how quiet it gets up there, or how the cold seeps into your bones while you chew. I took a photo, but it didn’t look like how it felt. Maybe that’s why I never posted it. Sometimes you climb a mountain and the only thing you find at the top is yourself, still hungry. #HikingTruths #TravelConfessions #BanffUnfiltered #Travel
