Boil a pot of water—just enough for your teapot or mug. Add about 2 teaspoons of dried hibiscus flowers to your teapot. Adjust for how strong you want it. Pour the boiling water over the flowers. If you want caffeine, toss in a tea bag now. Let it steep for 5 minutes. Longer for more tartness, shorter for a lighter taste. Strain as you pour into your cup. If you don’t mind the petals, you can leave them in. Sweeten with honey or sugar if you like. Garnish with a lime wedge, mint, or a cinnamon stick for a little extra flavor.
