Honesty at Work Feels Like a Mistake

Ever felt like being honest at work was a trap? That’s exactly what happened to me last week. We’re supposed to send these weekly overview emails, and I thought, why not be real? I admitted I’d been playing catch up and it put me in a bit of a funk, even though I still met all my deadlines. Well, my honesty didn’t land well. The response? Basically, never say that again—especially not to the owner. Wait, aren’t these updates for sharing what’s really going on?
