Hey, I’m a 19-year-old girl working as a line cook in a tiny diner in a small town. Honestly, I barely scraped through high school, graduating with just about 55-60% in my classes. Every day feels the same—long hours, greasy food, and no real sense of purpose. I keep telling myself I’ll find a better job, but I’m stuck and terrified of ending up in a trade I hate just to pay rent. Lately, I’ve been dreaming about becoming a dentist. It sounds crazy, right? I know they make good money and I want to help people, but my grades are terrible and I have no idea how to even start. Did I ruin my chances already? I feel so lost and overwhelmed by my situation.
