Stuck in Retail at 40: Desperate for a Career Change! 😩

I just turned 40, and honestly, I’m feeling stuck. My whole life has been spent working in retail and food service, never making it past a shift lead. I’ve got an associate’s degree in audio production from years ago, but it never opened any doors for me. Now, I’m desperate to find a way out and land a job that pays around $60k, but it feels impossible without going back to school for another degree. I’m open to online certifications, but I have no idea which ones are actually worth it or where to even start. It’s hard not to feel discouraged. I keep telling myself I can do better, but I’m honestly lost and need some real advice. Has anyone else made a big career change at this age?
