What meals do French unis have?

Most of them offer semi - buffet - style service. The basic combo is like "starter + main course + dessert or cheese / yogurt". You just pick one from each category, and there's always a variety of different dishes every day. For starters, you usually get a choice of veggie salads - like potato salad, lettuce salad, cucumber salad, tomato salad, and so on. Or you can go with some meaty salads, such as those with eggs, ham, crab sticks, and so forth. There's also the option of farfalle pasta salad. When it comes to the main course, they generally have fish, all kinds of meats - beef, lamb, chicken - and vegetarian options like mashed potatoes, French fries, or grains. Plus, there are some baked goods like pizza, roasted chicken legs, and grilled sausages. And here's the best part - the desserts in French university dining halls are a big highlight. You can look forward to trying some classic French sweets like éclairs, mille - feuille, and crème brûlée. The prices are super reasonable. The regular meal ticket costs 6.6 euros, but the French government covers half of it. So students only need to pay 3.30 euros per meal. And for those who receive financial aid or are identified as having financial difficulties, there's even the chance to have a meal for just 1 euro. #CampusEats #UniversityMeals #French #Canteen
