Lately, I've been feeling stuck when it comes to my relationship and career plans. My boyfriend is absolutely passionate about his job—he finds it so fulfilling that he can't imagine life without it. He keeps telling me how much he looks forward to his pension after 30 years, which will be a solid $5k a month. Meanwhile, I've been reading about early retirement and the FIRE movement, and honestly, it sounds like a dream to me. I tried bringing it up, but he just doesn't want to risk losing his pension or feel bored without work. I never realized someone could be so attached to their job!
