I just made it to the final round of interviews at a company I was really excited about. In my field, on-call hours can be a nightmareāsometimes itās a structured schedule, but other times youāre basically glued to your laptop 24/7. So, I always ask about their on-call policy. This time, though, things went south fast. One interviewer got visibly annoyed and spent almost 20 minutes lecturing me about work ethic, saying things like, āYouāll never get anywhere unless you go the extra mile.ā All I did was ask, āDo you have an on-call policy?ā The rest of the interview was great, but I didnāt get the job. Now Iām honestly worried. Is this question off-limits now? Should I just stop asking and risk getting stuck with 24/7 on-call? How do I find out without raising red flags? Iām feeling pretty lost hereāany advice would mean a lot! š© #JobCareer #Professional etiquette #JobSearch
