Invasive Plants Taking Over BC Shoreline?!

Wild story: two aggressive grass species, Spartina densiflora and Spartina patens, are invading the BC shoreline and basically kicking out all the native plants and animals. Experts say if we don’t stop them, these invaders could turn the whole area into a boring monoculture and even mess with drainage, causing floods! Locals are digging them up and using special herbicides, but it’s a tough battle.
