On the Edge of Retirement: Am I Missing Something Big? 😰

I’m almost ready to pull the trigger on retirement next year, but I’m losing sleep over whether I’m making a huge mistake. I’ve spent weeks poring over my savings, pensions, and social security, trying to make the numbers work. I’m not a finance pro—just a regular guy who spent the first half of adulthood scraping by, and the second half stashing cash wherever I could, sometimes in all the wrong places. Now, I keep hearing about people meeting with financial advisors to get a real answer about retirement. Is that something I really need? Or can I trust my own math? I’ve never had an advisor, and honestly, I’m not sure how to find one or what to even ask. Most of my money is with Fidelity, if that makes a difference. Has anyone else been in my shoes?
