Today marks my last day after over 40 years in the same company. I’m a female engineer, and honestly, I’m both relieved and anxious. No more endless meetings that seem to go nowhere, and I won’t have to manage my quirky team of engineers anymore. That part is a huge relief! But I can’t help feeling a bit lost. I’ll really miss the daily chats and inside jokes with the few close friends I’ve made. The projects were tough, but it was the people who made the journey special. Now, I’m looking forward to more time with my family and maybe picking up some new hobbies far from engineering. Still, I can’t shake this nervousness about what’s next. How did you handle the transition? Any advice for finding purpose after such a long career? 🥲 #JobCareer #Career #RetirementJourney
