Bear Spray vs. Firearms: What’s your call?

Been in more than a few bear encounters over 20 years of hunting—bluff charges, sows with cubs, close calls in camp. I carry bear spray in parks, and yes, it can work if you hit them right. But nothing gives me more confidence than my .45-70. I’ve taken bears clean with one shot, and never had to shoot twice.
