Sunday Hunting Freedom! PA Ban FINALLY Gone!

Holy cow, Governor Shapiro just signed the bill - Pennsylvania's Sunday hunting ban is officially GONE! 🙌 As a PA hunter, I'm honestly pumped about this. We went from only 3 Sundays a year to potentially having Sunday hunting during most seasons (Game Commission gets to decide starting September). This is huge for those of us with crazy work schedules. Now I can actually take my kids out on weekends without burning vacation days. Plus with our deer population exploding and farmers losing crops, we need all the hunting pressure we can get. The bill runs for 5 years, so hopefully we prove Sunday hunting works and makes it permanent. Rep. Mandy Steele nailed it - this benefits hunters, farmers, AND forest health. Anyone else in PA excited about this? Which seasons are you hoping get Sunday approval first? #hunting #PennsylvaniaHunting #SundayHunting #deerseason

My wireless trail cam strategy during rut 📹

Last November, I was checking my phone at work when I got a notification - massive 10-pointer cruising past my doe bedding setup at 2 PM! That's when I knew my wireless trail cam game was dialed in. Here's my mid-season setup that's been money for rut hunting: My go-to trail cam strategy: 1️⃣ Power up with solar panels - Nothing crushes your soul like dead batteries during peak rut. Solar keeps them running all season long. 2️⃣ Max out that SD card - I use the biggest card possible. You don't want to miss that buck of a lifetime because you ran out of storage. 3️⃣ Point cameras north - Game changer! Once leaves drop, this eliminates sun glare and gives you crystal clear images. It's like having the sun as your personal lighting crew. Focus on doe bedding areas during rut - that's where the magic happens. Bucks are cruising nonstop checking for hot does, and wireless cams let you monitor without disturbing the area. Anyone else doing the same? #hunting #HuntingTips #TrailCams #WhitetailRut

I tried 4 hog methods in Texas last week

Just got back from an epic hog hunt and wanted to share what's been working for me this season! The beauty of hog hunting is having so many options to choose from. My go-to methods: 1️⃣ Spot & Stalk - Hit those feeding areas early morning with good glass. Once you spot them, patience is everything for that perfect shot opportunity. 2️⃣ Baiting - Corn and molasses work like magic (where legal). Set up downwind and wait for them to come to you. 3️⃣ Stand/Blind Hunting - Found fresh hog sign? Set up nearby and let them come to you. Requires serious patience but pays off big time. 4️⃣ Dog Hunting - Training a hog dog is serious commitment, but nothing beats having a skilled pup track and corner these smart animals. Curious what method you swear by—or rotate between? #hunting #HogHunting #HuntingTips

What I’m doing this July to prep for fall hunt 🦌

Been spending some time getting things in shape for fall, and July's been the perfect window for low-impact prep. Here’s what I’ve been working on: 1️⃣ Check food plots - Make sure they survived the heat or start planning backup plots if drought hit hard 2️⃣ Scout water sources - Find or create water holes while deer patterns are predictable in this heat 3️⃣ Boots-on-ground scouting - Low-impact time to find bedding areas and travel routes without spooking deer 4️⃣ Hang stands now - Perfect time to set up ambush spots while deer have plenty of cover to avoid you The key is connecting food sources to travel routes. If I can figure out how deer enter ag fields now, those patterns usually hold through early September. What's your July prep priority? Food plots or stand locations? #hunting #HuntingPrep #DeerHunting #OutdoorLife

Summer Hunting? Here's What's Still In Season

🌞 Think hunting season's over? Think again! July can actually be prime time for certain species while keeping your skills sharp: 1️⃣ Coyotes - Most states allow year-round hunting. Perfect for protecting your property and staying practice-ready. Plus they're everywhere! 2️⃣ Wild hogs - Available year-round in many states. These destructive pests are challenging and fun to hunt. Great summer adventure if you're willing to travel. 3️⃣ Invasive species - Florida's got open season on iguanas! Sounds weird but it's actually a blast and helps the ecosystem. 4️⃣ Small game - Check your state regs, but crows, squirrels, and other small animals might be fair game. Perfect for training new hunters or practicing marksmanship. What are you chasing this summer? #hunting #SummerHunting #WildlifeControl #HuntingSeason
